St. Aidan's Anglican Church: Our Team

The Rev'd Canon Dr. Kevin George:

P: (519) 471-1430

Kevin became rector of St. Aidanís on July 01, 2012. Prior to his move to London, Kevin enjoyed a long tenure as Rector of St. Markís by-the-Lake in Tecumseh, Ontario where he served from 1998 till 2012. His first appointment was as the Associate Priest in the Parish of Labrador West, in Labrador City/ Wabush, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Kevin is a proud Newfoundlander who looks forward to travelling to his homeland to visit with his large family whom he credits with shaping him into the priest that he is today.  Kevin is a proud graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland where he earned a Bachelor in Education, and of Huron University College, where he earned his Master of Divinity. Recently, Kevin completed a Doctorate in Ministry in Parish Revitalization at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.

His thesis work was focused on Christian witness in the midst of strengthened interfaith relationships. To Kevin, diversity is a gift of God and ought to be celebrated and welcomed in our families, our communities, our country, and our world. To that end, he is comfortable ecumenically and in interfaith environments and welcomes debate and dialogue as a natural part of Godís will for our lives together.

Kevin is so comfortable in ecumenical relationships he even practices it in his marriage. His wife Catherinanne has her Master of Divinity from St. Peterís Seminary, where Kevin and Catherinanne met. (Kevin loves to tell people that he found his wife in a Roman Catholic Seminary!) Catherinanne is the Director of Campus Ministry at Brescia University College Ė her alma mater. She also serves as a Reserve Chaplain in the Royal Canadian Navy.

Kevin is excited about the challenges and possibilities that lie ahead at St. Aidanís. He is thrilled by the strength of ministry for children and youth and expresses gratitude for the strong liturgical tradition at St Aidanís. He sees the time ahead as a time to seek Godís direction for a revitalized and re-energized community that will be equipped for ministry in this new day and the challenges that it presents.

The Rev'd Anne Jaikaran:
Assistant Curate/Silver Saints Director

P: (519) 439-1721

A cradle Anglican from Yorkshire, England, I obtained my degree in History and Archaeology from the University of Liverpool before leaving England in 1981 with my then husband to live in Guyana, South America. I then came to Canada in 1991. Apart from seven years in Blenheim between 1993-2000, I have lived in London since that time.

I have four children: Rachel who lives in Toronto, Lucy who lives with her husband in Edmonton and George and Joey who both live in London.

I was a part-time student at Huron College, graduating with a Masters in Theological Studies in 2004 and a Masters of Divinity in 2006, during which time I also worked as a supply teacher for the YMCA daycare. Following this, I served as Pastoral Assistant at both Church of the Transfiguration and St. John the Evangelist here in London for three and a half years.
I was ordained a Deacon in November 2009 and a Priest in May 2010 when I became Assistant to the Priest at Church of the Ascension on a part-time basis; a position I still hold today.

In January 2011, I became the Interim Priest at Church of the Hosannas, journeying alongside them as they made the difficult decision to leave their building and re-organize to become part of the newly formed St Aidan's.

I have also volunteered as a Chaplain at London Health Sciences since 2002 and occasionally work as a relief chaplain there.

I am excited to become a part of the new St. Aidan's and look forward to whatever God might have in store for us as we seek to share God's love for all people in the community around us.

Pat Ferguson:
Parish Nurse, RN

P: (226) 270-8862

After completing a BA at Queenís University in 1974, I entered and completed my Diploma of Nursing at Ryerson in 1976. I finished my MBA at McMaster in 1982. I have worked in a variety of nursing positions off and on over the years. I have been a member of St. Aidanís faith community since 2002.

After my retirement from the South West Community Care Access Centre in 2011, I answered the call to integrate my nursing background with my faith to become a Parish Nurse. I graduated from the Parish Nursing Program offered by InterChurch Health Ministries in November 2015.

I work closely with Kevin and Anne and the ministry is supported by a dedicated health cabinet.

Over time we have integrated Prayers for Healing several times a year into our weekly worship services as well as offering a yearly healing service in May for those living with Mental Illness.

I am blessed and thankful to be a member of this faithful community.
