that our teenagers are Young Adults. Their 20/20 group
gathers after the 10:30am Sunday Service for 20 minutes of
discussion around the sermon and scripture readings of the day.
Healthy debates, as well as personal reflections are encouraged and
there are no wrong answers and mostly lots of questions!
Our teenagers sometimes assist or lead our youngest group in
Church School. They also gather for times to socialize in our
CYFM Den or outside of church for local events.
At St Aidanís, we believe in preparing our children, youth and
especially our young adults for the work of ministry. We delight in
the young people who sing in our choir, play their musical
instruments, as well as those who are servers and read the
scriptures or act as Cantors on special occasions like our popular 4
pm Christmas Eve Eucharist.
We believe that when young people feel like they belong, they are
more open to believing the Good News of Godís love made visible in
Christ Jesus, and that this will affect their behaviour because of
this belief. We encourage them to go out into the world to proclaim
the Good News in words and actions of love, mercy and justice.
Youth are encouraged to earn highschool volunteer hours during some
of our activities outside of regular ministry. Please
the church office to chat about
how you can get involved!
